Hi ,Ā Ā Hope you had a great Thanksgiving š¦. I believe we should be grateful š every single day for what we have.Ā In addition to that, days are getting shorter,
colder and pollen season is almost over (happily for some), but some are still stuck taking antihistamines every day, even in the fall and winter months! Ā Hereās something to think about⦠While they may bring short-term relief, daily antihistamine use can take a toll on the body over time. I often see clients struggling with
brain fog, low energy, and even digestive issuesāsometimes without realizing their allergy meds may be playing a role. As an added bonus, they often stop working, so people end up taking a higher dosage, trying a different brand or even getting a prescription for something even stronger. Ā Antihistamines can: - Disrupt your gut microbiome - which many are now realizing affects brain health
- Drain your energy and
focus
- Cause rebound allergy symptoms when you stop
- Place added stress on your liver (which already does over 500 jobs!)
- Block natural histamine functions that support digestion, immunity, and brain
health
Our body gives us symptoms for a reason. Masking them daily without addressing the root cause can lead to deeper imbalances. Here's an example - people wear antiperspirant to stop sweating; but sweating is one of the ways the body detoxifies. When be block that pathway, the body has to go deeper and find another exit point...so despite our best intentions, we're potentially making things
worse. Ā If you suffer in the fall/winter, you may want to consider the fumes from your furnace, dust, indoor mold, air fresheners, pets, food(s) or you may want to consider moving (just joking)!š Ā Maybe you'd like some help?
